TRADITIONALLY Countries like Canada and The USA have seen large benefits from increases in population.
Each person increases the economy of these countries more than the drain on services and such.
Many other countries have trouble now with overcrowding, poverty and Pollution. These Countries have trouble accommodating population increases as more population just makes the issue way worse.
High birth rates, improved healthcare leading to lower mortality rates, lack of access to family planning services, and cultural or religious beliefs promoting larger families can contribute to rapid population growth in some countries.
Newly developed countries are experiencing rapid economic growth and modernization as they strive to improve living standards for their citizens.
The law of population, proposed by Thomas Malthus, suggests that population growth tends to outpace the growth of resources, leading to inevitable checks on population such as famine, disease, or war. Malthus argued that these checks were necessary to prevent overpopulation and maintain a balance between population and resources.
Poole's population may be rising due to factors such as economic growth, a good quality of life, job opportunities, and attractive living conditions that are drawing people to the area. Additionally, improvements in infrastructure, transportation, and amenities could be contributing to the growth in population.
A faster population growth means that on average, there are more young people who cannot yet make a significant contribution to the economy. Since GDP per person doesn't take into account whether someone is of age to work yet, a high population growth means that there are more people to divide the GDP among, so on average it will be lower.Another reason that GDP per person is lower in high population growth countries is that people tend to have large families in agricultural economies, where you can put children to work to generate some income at an early age. These types of economies do not have the same capacity for growth as industrial economies, where technology can be more effectively used to boost output. Also, when the economy is not as developed and there are not good social benefits, which is typically the case in Third World countries, people have more children as a way to ensure their old age, which increases the growth rate and skews the labor market towards less skilled jobs
Adoption is when adults treat a child who is not their biological off-spring as their own. This is a good thing but will not affect over population since it does nothing about the growth of population.
