First of all, cross the English Channel into France via a CAR FERRY. You will cross from Dover to CALAIS. This ferry is operated by P&O FERRIES

From Calais to Frankfurt it is 590 km taking this route:

  1. Take A16 BRUXELLES (E40), from Calais or Dunkirk, to Belgium, where E40 continues on A18.
  2. Continue on E40 (A18 ~ A10 ~ R0 around Brussels ~ to A3 LIUK) to DEUTSCHLAND (Germany), where E40 continues on A44.
  3. Take A44 (briefly) to A4 KÖLN @ U4 AACHEN KREUZ (Aachen Interchange).
  4. Take A4 to A3 FRANKFURT am MAIN @ U15 DREIECK HEUMAR (Heumar Three-Way Interchange) near Cologne.
  5. Take A3 to Frankfurt am Main.

Alternatively you can also take a FERRY to DUNKIRK, FRANCE, and catch up with A16 (E40) from there. This ferry is operated by DFDS SEAWAYS.
