We don't say England, we say Britain. Britain is our country's name, not England, its a false country. As a punishment for saying England rather than Britain, I'm not going to answer this question, its a stupid question and England, Scotland and Wales are my three least favourite words out of every word.
England is part of the island of Great Britain and as an island isn't actually 'on' any continent but is geographically and politically linked to the continent of Europe.
London is the capital of the United Kingdom (and England) it is located in the South East of England on the British Isles. Therefore it is not on a continent but on an island. The island is regarded as part of the European area.
Australia is referred to as the island continent. However, all continents are technically islands themselves (with the exception of Europe and Asia, who form the supercontinent of Eurasia).

The United Kingdom, which includes England, is part of Europe. Being an island, it is not part of the landmass itself.
Liverpool is a city in England, which is on the island of Britain and is part of the continent of Europe.
Ireland is on an island off the northwest coast of Europe.Ireland and Northern Ireland are on their own island. The Irish Sea separates the island from Scotland, England, and Wales. Great Britain refers to an island containing England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland is on the island of Ireland, as is the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales form the United Kingdom. It is part of the continent of Europe.
England is not an island. It is on the same island as Scotland and Wales is, known as Britain. Europe, like all continents, consists of a large landmass and many islands around it. So Britain and many of the other islands around the mainland of Europe are all part of Europe.
It's an island, usually considered to be part of the continengt of Europe.
This question contradicts itself. For a landmass to be considered a continent, it has to be of very large. Australia is the smallest Continent, but it is three times the size of the world's largest island (Greenland). Consequently, it is impossible for a continent to be the world's second smallest island.
