In 1754, the eastern border of the English colonies in North America was the Atlantic Ocean, while the western border varied among the different colonies. The colonies extended from modern-day Maine in the north to Georgia in the south. North America and the caribbean
In 1754, French explorers had already established colonies and trading posts in North America, the Caribbean, and parts of Africa. They were also exploring areas in the interior of North America, such as the Great Lakes region and the Mississippi River valley, in search of new trading opportunities and alliances with indigenous peoples.
The Atlantic Ocean was to the east of all the colonies. The mountain range nearest and through some of the colonies was the Appalachian Mountain range, two well known rivers were the Roanoke River, and the Potomac River.
