We wouldn't stand on it, flowers, houses, anything on the surface would be thrown into the space, there wouldn't be any life except for some bacteries which could adopt such a shake. Any balance on Earth requires very very heavy mountains.

Would the world be different without mountains?

Mountains are caused by the movement of techtonic plates (which are colliding and rubbing all the time). When two bodies of land collide or earth is pushed up, mountains are formed. The world without mountains would have different environments, as many organisms use mountains as their habitat. Without mountains though, the world would survive, just without the species that rely on mountains as their habitat.

If there were no mountains, the Earth's surface would be much flatter with more uniform elevation. Human activities such as recreation, transportation, and resource extraction would also be affected without the presence of mountains.
