No! Not at all - commas can help sentences very much.
Example:
She got chocolate, and vanilla ice cream for her.
She got chocolate and vanilla ice cream for her.
The first sentence says that she got chocolate, and got the other girl vanilla. The next one says that she got chocolate and vanilla ice cream, both for the other girl.
Commas can make a big difference in sentences.
-Long sentences with lots of detailed words. -Sentences become more interesting.
Well there would be lots of words that would be translating to "to eats" from Spanish. If you meant commas, well the general rule of thumb is more that two commas in a sentence and you are boned. The easiest way to fix a sentence with too many commas is to simply change one of them to a period. I'm an English professor so I know what I am talking about. No it depends how long the sentences are. If they're using lots of conjunctions (and, or, yet, but, so, because, for, nor, etc.), or semicolons (;), then yes it is too long, but other than that, i don't believe so.
