The zip code is part of the US postal system. Other countries also have various forms of postal codes, but they are not called zip codes. If you are mailing a letter to Nigeria, just make sure that you write "Nigeria" at the bottom of the address.

Nigeria doesn't have a zip code... zip codes are only an American thing....
