Tacoma, Washington is mid-sized city located in the state of Washington. For those looking to experience the cultural side of Tacoma, heading to Tacoma's downtown Cultural District would be an excellent option. Located in the Cultural District are various museums, which attract millions of visitors each year. These museums include the Washington state History Museum, the Tacoma Art Museum, and a car museum. Also located near that area of Tacoma is the famous Museum of Glass, which opened in 2002 and is a display of various pieces of glass art from both the region and around the world. Downtown Tacoma also has an improving theatre scene, which includes the historic Pantages Theatre.
Another site that is visited by millions of residents and visitors each year is Point Defiance Park. Point Defiance Park, which in total comprises over 700 acres, is one of the nation's largest city parks. The park contains a scenic five mile drive and path that allows visitors access to all of the park's attractions. Some of the most popular attractions in the park are Owen Beach, Fort Nisqually, and the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
