King Duncan had two sons: Malcolm and Donalbain. After fleeing Duncan's murder, Donalbain fled to Ireland, and Malcolm fled to England. Malcolm later led the attack on Dunsinane and took the throne after Macbeth was killed.

If you are talking about his 1936 production for the Federal Theatre Project, the big giveaway was the palm trees on the backdrop and the nineteenth-century costumes, as well as the inclusion of other voodoo elements which gave that production the nickname "The Voodoo Macbeth" (only a few minutes of this production were filmed, but you can find it online).
