What is a heterogeneous mixture

Heterogeneous means of different types. So a heterogeneous mixture is a mixture of dissimilar items. Homogeneous means of the same type so a homogeneous mixture would be a mixture of similar items.

A mixture where two or more substances are mixed together but are not chemically combined is called as an heterogeneous mixture.

In chemistry, heterogeneous mixture is a mixture of two or more different substances in the form of solution or colloids. For example, salad is an heterogeneous mixture

A heterogenous mixture is not uniform in composition and properties throughout.
What causes pressure

Pressure is caused by collisions of gas molecules with surfaces or other gas molecules.

Does sugar affect the boiling point of water

Adding sugar to boiling water it will increase the boiling temperature very slightly

An oatmeal raisin cookie is an example of

a heterogeneous mixture.

What is the molality of a solution in which 3.0 moles of NaCl is dissolved in 1.5 Kg of water

2mol/kg

Will 1 mol of sugar have the same effect as 1 mol of table salt in lowering the freezing point of water

no because the mol of sugar is 34 g while salt's mol is 5.8 grams

What causes the pressure inside oxygen tanks to change as they are filled

The number of gas molecules changes.
the number of gas molecules changes

What does a dissolved salt look like

The ions in the salt are surrounded by water molecules.

Which intermolecular force would cause the highest boiling point

Hydrogen Bonding

What forms of the ideal gas law would you use to calculate the number of moles of gas

Probable you think to the law of Avogadro.

Which of the following is an example of a heterogeneous mixture water saltwater dirt or brass

Dirt is a heterogeneous mixture.

Which ionic compound will lower the freezing point the most of 1 mol of it is added to 1 mol of it is added to 1 L of water

NaCl

Why can liquid boil at low temperatures

It is possible if the pressure is also low.

What is the molality of a solution that has 4 mol of KCl in 0.800 kg of water A.

The molality is 5.
