What is a Sprocket?

The word sprocket is a mechanical device that imparts linear motion between two shafts and is often used to power machinery. It's also found in bicycles and some early automobiles. A bicycle's pedal shaft drives a large sprocket wheel which in turn drives a small sprocket on the rear axle. The band Toad the Wet Sprocket got its name from a Monty Python sketch. Singer Eric Idle had heard the sketch and nearly drove off the freeway, which led to the band's wacky moniker. The name stuck and the band played multiple gigs under the name Toad the Wet Sprocket. Another fun feature of the sprocket app is the ability to print video frames. The app works with videos from any source, including Apple Live Photos. To print a video frame, open it in Image Preview, tap the video frame selection icon, then tap print. Magic frames are a great way to add interest to any photo, and the app also lets you select daily seasonal or thematic frames.
