Since going on a gluten free diet, I no longer have episodes of extreme fatigue accompanied by chills. I even had an elevated number on an IgA, test but the doctor said I couldn't have gluten intolerance because I do not have a strong Irish heritage.

Gluten intolerance, also known as celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity, does not directly cause freckles. Freckles are primarily a result of genetic factors and sun exposure, leading to increased melanin production in the skin. However, gluten intolerance can lead to skin issues like dermatitis herpetiformis, which may cause rashes or lesions, but these are distinct from freckles. If you have concerns about skin changes related to gluten intolerance, it's best to consult a healthcare professional.
