Gerson therapy is a demanding regimen that may not be suitable for most Diabetes patients. And the treatment is mainly for patients who wants to improve their immune system, or thoose who have some sort of degenrative disease. So I would say consult something else.

Is type 2 diabetes known as insulin-dependent diabetes?

No. Type 1 diabetes is known as insulin-dependent or juvenile onset diabetes. The causes of type 2 diabetes can either be a lack of insulin sensitivity or insulin production problem. Some people with type 2 diabetes take insulin, but it is not known as insulin-dependent diabetes.

I pretty sure it would only have an effect on Type 2 diabetes, as type one is present at birth. Type 2 might be positively influenced by having the surgery. http://www.yourbariatricsurgeryguide.com/diabetes/

Medications for Type 1 diabetes can be used on a patient with Type 2 diabetes and visa versa. This is the same with diets. However, you must take caution by speaking with your doctor about which diet plan is the best for your current condition.

What occurs in the body with type II diabetes?

In Type II diabetes, the pancreas may produce enough insulin, however, cells have become resistant to the insulin produced and it may not work as effectively

What Is Diabetes Type 1 and 2?

Well, diabetes happens when your pancreas stops working. When you have Type 1 Diabetes (like me), your pancreas makes no insulin at all. Most people take shots or use an insulin pump. Type 1 Diabetes can not go away. This type usually happens in children. Type 2 Diabetes usually happens in adults. Sometimes Type 2 Diabetes can go away. Most people who have Type 2 can lose weight to end their Diabetes. Most people with this usually take pills instead of shots. :) Hope this helps... :P

It is important to work with a healthcare provider to manage type 2 diabetes effectively.

What is a possible cause of non-insulin diabetes?

I'm not too sure what you mean exactly, I'm going to give you two replies: Type 1 Diabetes Type 1 diabetes is when the cells that ought to secrete insulin, the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas, are not working or not present. Tablets taken for Type 2 diabetes will not work for Type 1 diabetics because they work by stimulating sluggish cells in the pancreas. If the cells are not there, you can't stimulate them to work. Some people become diabetic after a virus damages the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. Trauma to the pancreas can do it as well, for instance, in a car accident. And some people are born with it. Type 2 Diabetes In Type 2 diabetes, the pancreas contains the Islets of Langerhans that secrete insulin, but they are not producing sufficient insulin for the body's needs. Some women develop this in pregnancy, but the most common cause is obesity. If people slimmed to a normal weight, many would find that their Type 2 diabetes either goes away or else can be controlled by careful attention to what they eat. A Type 1 diabetic is usually quite thin and the opposite tends to be true for Type 2 diabetes. In both types, genes and race play a part. A lot of people from Asian origin get diabetes.

The disease in which there is an insulin deficiency is?

Diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is where your pancreas doesn't work pretty much at all, and type 2 is when you are over weight and don't exercise and you have to take small amounts of insulin or pills to keep it under control.
