Hi!!
No you cannot be diagnosed with Diabetes after one high glucose reading. Diagnostic criteria for Diabetes is as follows:
1) Symptoms of diabetes (excessive urination, excessive thirst, excessive hunger) plus any one of the following values--
i) Random plasma glucose more than/equal to 200mg/dl
ii) fasting plasma glucose more than/equal to 126 mg/dl
iii) 2 hour plasma glucose more than/equal to 200 mg/dl during a 75 g OGTT(oral glucose tolerance test)
2) A 75 gm OGTT is required to confirm the diagnoses in individuals who are asymptomatic but have any one of the above values.
Hope i have answered your question...
It is bad to have a high amount of glucose in your urine because you will be diagnosed with diabetes. A slightly raised glucose reading can also indicate pregnancy.
NO, in fact it is a perfect reading. a normal glucose level is usually anywhere from 80 to 120.
Diabetes can also been called as diabetes mellitus, high blood sugar, high blood glucose, hyper glucose and hyper sugar.
Gestational diabetes can be diagnosed with testing for blood glucose level, if it is higher than normal level then gestational diabetes be confirmed. All type of diabetes are confirmed only with high level of blood sugar or glucose.
Yes.
Diabetes?
its a little high.
High glucose levels can and often do result in diabetes. It usually happens to those with obesity and can be avoided with a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise.
Pre Diabetes is when you blood glucose levels are higher than normal but they aren't high enough to cause diabetes. You have to diet and exercise to fix your blood glucose levels.
Pre-Diabetes is when your blood sugar is high out of the normal range, but not high enough to be diagnosed as type 1 diabetes yet. It's also known as Impaired fasting glucose.
Eating candy can cause a person's glucose to go up especially if the person has diabetes. If one has diabetes, glucose levels are affected by foods high in carbohydrates.
Insulin is what catabolises (breaks down) glucose following a high carbohydrate meal. Diabetes has 4 types: only type 1 diabetes is related to insulin (seen in children and adolescents). It is called Insulin-Dependent Diabetes. Diabetes is basically very high levels of glucose found in the blood (greater then 250mg/dl) after testing. Where, normal fasting ranges of glucose = 70-110mg/dl Type 1: If their is a severe lack of insulin in the body. Glucose is unable to be broken down by the body (by stomach juices), because glucose is "dependent" upon insulin to be broken down causing diabetes (high levels of glucose in the body).
