Can you fall pregnant on the last day of ovulation?

Technically the ovum (egg) needs to be fertilised within 24 hours of it being released for it to become a pregnancy. The trigger for release is a rise in a certain hormone which "ripens" the egg. Your cervical mucus changes as this hormone begins to rise in anticipation of fertilisation. The cervical mucus can also keep the sperm alive long enough for it to meet the egg. Therefore women are said to "fertile" over about a 3-4 day period. Unfortunately you cannot tell how soon after you begin the period will the egg actually be released. It is USUALLY about three days - but can be two or four or even five days. I am not actually sure how you are judging your ovulation period, but theoretically you can get pregnant the day after. Ovulation isn't an exact science and when you ovulate can change month-to-month. I actually fell pregnant 4 days after I thought I was "fertile" - so you can never tell.

Yes - you are still very fertile then. Ovulation is a moment, not spread over several days so there is no 'last day of ovulation' but as it takes a few days for the ovum to travel down the fallopian tube you can get pregnant over several days.

Certainly. Although most women do not become pregnant while on their period, it is not unheard of. When a woman becomes pregnant is strictly dependent upon when she ovulates. For most women, but not all, she ovulates around 14 days before her expected period.

Although it is highly unlikely, and alot of these questions have answers with people saying that it is impossible, id just like to say that they are idiots because i got pregnant during my period. Anything is possible.
