Stress can cause Brief Reactive Psychosis, and it can cause Depression as well. so perhaps it can indirectly.
Usually it is non-psychotic, but severe depression can cause psychotic symptoms. Psychotic means having hallucinations and/or paranoia.

look up "undermethylation"; inositol is great for this, and some of these cases involve psychosis. undermethylated persons almost always have some form of obsessive problem, and inositol is great for this, but that's not psychosis. Neurosis involves distortion of personality and mood, psychosis is distortion of reality. Persons feeling psychosis are almost definitely also suffering from neurosis, but not the other way around.
