Yes! The orthodontist I saw growing up would pull 12 year molars, leaving room for wisdom teeth to grow. I had my 12 yr molars pulled when I was a tween and my wisdom teeth came in around my early 20s. I have never had a problem with them. Not sure why all dentists don't practice this - my only thought is that it dentists make more $$ for the surgery.
I'd follow the advice of the dentist, since the wisdom tooth can move forward after the second molar is removed.
Normally a wisdom tooth is a third molar.
Yes indeed. It is the third molar (wisdom tooth)
The third adult molar is also called wisdom tooth.
well it is the wisdom tooth but some people call it the 2nd molar tooth. And hope that answers your question.
No, a wisdom tooth cannot serve as a replacement for a molar. Wisdom teeth are located at the back of the mouth and are not typically used for chewing food like molars. Additionally, wisdom teeth often need to be removed due to issues such as impaction or crowding.

You can only put a bridge on if there is a tooth on each side to support it. Therefore, a bridge cannot replace a wisdom tooth, because it's the last one on the dental arch. If you keep your wisdom tooth and you need to extract the molar right before, then you can replace that molar with a bridge. In any other case, an implant would be a better treatment. The type of molar tooth located at the back of the mouth and is the last to appear is known as the wisdom tooth, or third molar. Wisdom teeth typically emerge in late adolescence or early adulthood, usually between the ages of 17 and 25. They can sometimes cause crowding or other dental issues, leading to their removal.
Submerged dentition. If a tooth is stuck and wants to come out but cannot, we call it an impacted tooth. Usually it is a third molar tooth that causes this condition. also known as impacted wisdom tooth.
The hard painful lump near your growing wisdom tooth is probably part of the tooth. However, it could be an infection under the gums and should be checked by a dentist.
IF you really want to know what is under your gums, easiest way is to get an xray. However if it is not painful and bothersome leave it aloneeven if it is a wisdom tooth. Remember that wisdom tooth may erupt perfectly normally even without you yourself knowing it. So , if it ain't troubling you, do not trouble it or trouble with it.!
