I have had colonoscopy while on 24 mg of suboxone. Nowadays, they use the Michael Jackson drug to put you into twilight sleep. When I had my first colonosopy and was not on suboxone (which I am prescribed for pain) I was treated with Versed and some narcotic drug. Woke up high. Now the GI Doc has an aneshesioligist come in to administer M Jackson drug. Still it is scary going under. BTW, I am on suboxone because of a failed surgery that left me taking oxycodone for pain. Daily use of oxycodone was making me very unstable. When I got off oxy I turned in 4500 mg of oxy to the Doctor Who prescribed it. The med profession thinks they are gods but they do not know sh_t.
