NO! Check the package. That type of medicine can go into your bloodsteam and could potentially harm your baby. I am sure their are alternatives for lice other than the toxic chemicals you were giong to use. Again, read the package carefully. If it doesn"t say safe to use on pregnant or nursing mothers then don"t use it. There are herbs, there are different shampoos that could offer releif. Ask your pharmacist.

Use half water half conditioner. Blend it by shaking it in the conditioner bottle or in the blender. The hair can be wet or dry. Pour the conditioning mixture on the hair. Use it to untangle the hair. Add more of the conditioner mixture and comb the little guys out with a lice comb and rinse them down the drain. Add more mixture. Comb more lice out rinse them down the drain. Repeat until you are sure there are no more lice. Then do it a couple more times to be sure. Then rinse the conditioner out with water. After rinsing, comb out any nits. Nits are lice eggs that are attached to the shaft of the hair. The nits are stuck so hard that they will not shake off. They must be removed with a lice comb. Wash and dry bedding and clothing.

This works because even the smallest amount of conditioner will stop a louse in it's tracks!

When the louse can't move it can't get out of the lice comb.

The doctor said that it is NOT wise to use NIX or RID on her hair due to the fact that it is a chemical pesticide. I found a product, that her doctor approved, for her that it is herbal and pesticide-free. Pesticides are bad for pregnant or nursing women. Stay away from pyrethrins and permethrins.

I found lice in my daughters hair so I treated her and automatically treated my hair without knowing weather or not I had them to be preventative. However, I did not check the label for pregnancy risks initially and I am 30 weeks pregnant. Will it harm the baby? What should I do?
