You have to reject alcohol completely. It goes through placenta without any impediment and influences the fetus even stronger than you. Avoid taking any alcohol containing medicine.
Drugs
Drug addicted pregnant women are in the risk group for many reasons. They often have hepatitis B and other virus' diseases. Heroin is especially dangerous. At the pregnancy period heroin and other drugs, having low molecule mass, come through placenta and get accumulated in the fetus' tissues. They violate baby's metabolic processes formation, and damage his central nervous system.
Nicotine
It is the poison for vessels that means placenta does not get enough blood. Smoking stimulates miscarriage, bleedings and weakness of the baby's respiratory system.
Passive smoking is dangerous as well. You inhale poisonous substances and they get into your blood. Try not to in one room with smoking people.
