I had this myself. Every symptom. Missed period, cramping, discharge, darkening of the nipples, gas, indigestion, faint positive....and then I got AF cramps like I have with both past pregnancies, but this time AF came on with lots of clotting. Had a chemical pregnancy. All was there to create a baby, but nothing for it to stick you. If you don't get a positive within 10 days past your missed period, go back to the doc and let him dx you.
