I have personally watched my cow climb down a set of stairs. The disclaimer of cows not being able to climb down stairs probably refers to very narrow stairs.
A cow can climb up stairs but not down.
From what I hear, It is possible to lead a cow up the stairs. But you cannot lead them down!
Going up, you have to overcome gravity with every step.
yes they can, but they cannot walk down them.
Stairs are inclined planes, stairs are on a slant. We bring ourselves down and up the stairs that's why they are on a slant because we are the loads.
No. You walk or run down the stairs. Climbing is only used, perhaps incorrectly, for upward travel on stairs. You can, however, climb down a rope, or a ladder. This clearly shows how odd the English language can be.We can climb up a ladder or climb down a ladder, but we only climb [up] the stairs. So, what gives? When we climb the stairs, the word up is implied. The word climb has two main usages, an intransitive one and a transitive one. In its transitive sense, the direction is upward. We climb mountains. We climb stairs. Also, ivy climbs the walls. But its intransitive sense doesn't necessarily imply a direction, although in some usages, it can. (Confused? I know I am!)One intransitive sense is synonymous with "rise." Stock prices will climb if interest rates are cut. Another sense is "to ascend using the hands and feet." I had to climb the ladder to reach the second-floor window. But a third sense requires the writer or speaker to provide a direction. After the paint splashed me in the eye, I climbed down the ladder very unsteadily.Perhaps we don't hear "climb down the stairs" because we don't use our hands and feet to go up or down the steps, and the word climb conjures up the image of using both the hands and feet, as one would do if he were ascending a ladder, or a rope up a rock face or mountain.
There are no stairs on a navy ship. They use ladders to get up and down between decks. They are much steeper than stairs and can be difficult to climb in heavy seas.
They don't. Most places have handicap accessible ramps as alternative entries. Dean Kaman's iBot is a sort of all-terrain wheelchair that can climb stairs.
Yes, a cow can go up stairs, although they find it too difficult to go down them :)
walks up and down steps--24 months (24-36 months)
1F: Entering Mt. Coronet from route 207, go north and east across the water. Go south (don't jump the ledge) and then right. Use rock climb to go north, then take the stairs to the next area. 2F: Go north, then left, then south, then left, then north (up the stairs), then left (across the bridge), then south, then right (down the stairs), then north (up two sets of stairs), then right (across the bridge), then south (down the stairs but not down the ledges), then left, then north (down the stairs), then left (up the stairs), then north into the next area. 2F/B: Go north (up the stairs) and then right, into the next area. 3F: Go right then immediately north (up the stairs). Defeat the Galactic Grunt and then go left. Then go south (defeating the next grunt) and into the next area. Outside: Go right (taking the stairs to the north if you don't want to battle) then go north. Use rock climb to get to the next level. Go left then south (take the stairs if you wish to battle) then left then north (up the stairs if you didn't before), into the next area. 4F: Go north and use rock climb to go to the next level, then head right (defeating the grunt). Then head south (defeating the grunt then going down the stairs) and then to the right, exiting yet again. Outside: Follow the path (north then right then north) then go down the stairs to the left. Go north, pass the cavern entrance, and rock climb to the left. Go left then north (down the stairs) then left (down two stairs and up one stairs) then north then left then south and enter the cavern to the right. 4F/B: From here on, it's a straight path to follow. Good luck!
Stairs go up and come down as well.
