Yeah they fake cry, especially when in church and having to pretend like they feel touched by the spirit. I live with an "N" and have finally come to recognize a lot of his behaviors and motives (with the help of a lit of research of course).
Before discovering my husband was a narcissist, I some times looked at him when his eyes would fill with tears (ie, during a movie, at church, in a family situation), and something caused me to question those tears. They just didn't seem real. They seemed to be forced. Well when I learned he was a narcissist it all began to make sense. The Narcissist has to fake certain emotions in order to impress and charm people. Their whole persona is a lie.
My Narcissist is the very sly insidious type. He is very sneaky and can make the outside world think he is the next best thing to Superman. When behind closed doors I have the privilege of enduring his verbal assaults, his subtle put downs, and his ANGER. "N" are usually very angry inside and they will take it all out on the closest adult in their life, usually the spouse.
Final answer: crocodile tears!
