No they definitely don't i am deathly afraid of shots and when i found out they hade to put a shot in my mouth to numb it i started to cry but after the dentist gave me the shot i asked if he had done it yet so i didnt feel a thing. the worst part is after your face looks weird because it is numb. But the smartest thing i did was bring my iPod i would have died without it. it sort of distractss you so definitely bring one Good luck!

it doesn't hurt that bad.. i had each of my cartiliges(top of ear) done twice, and it didnt hurt that bad. it kinda feels hot after tho
If you are still numb, then be careful - you may bite down harder than you realize and hurt yourself or the filling. If you aren't numb, your filling should work as well as a real tooth. If it doesn't, your dentist needs to fix it or you need to find a new dentist.
