How can a person live with only one lung?

i don't really know, but i will pray for those who do have lung cancer.

There is a higher rate of cures and longer remissions than there used to be; some survivors are 10+ years! I'm a Survivor of almost 2 years and hope I last at least that long!

I am 34 years old and I have been living with 1 lung since it was removed when I was eight hours old. I live a normal life and do not notice any physical difference between myself and others. To answer your question, at least 34 years (hopefully longer in my case)

Lungs are essential to life for every kind of mammal. Without lungs, a person could only live for a few minutes. This is due to the fact that, without oxygen, the brain will die and the heart will stop.

If you take care of yourself you can live a full life with just one lung. Many people have. You have to maintain a healthy lifestyle and follow your doctor's orders, you should be fine.

People have lived into their 90s with one lung. (One only loses maximal exercise capacity, due to reduced total lung volume.)
