I can tell you this from experience. Starvation diets don't work because the word 'diet' means for a short period of time, or for a period of time. Starvation diets work for a short period of time, but then once you start eating again, you start gaining weight like crazy. Anorexics lose weight because it is a lifestyle, and it is a permanent thing. Every day, for years, even, their diets are severely limited. But to some anorexics, even an apple and a piece of bread can be a binge. If you compare that to a starvation "diet", it seems like a severely limited amount of food. It's all in the state of mind.
Anorexics are obsessed with being thin, they usually either don't eat at all or they make themselves vomit after eating something.
In anorexics, there is little or no fat to cushion and "round out" the skin or muscle on the bodies, so often bones and veins will begin to show through the thin layers of skin.
Yes, it is possible. Not all anorexics are underweight, and cellulite can appear on "thin" people. Cellulite is in realtion to the distribution of fat, not the amount of fat present, so it is possible for anorexics to have cellulite.
To some extent, yes. Anorexics have an unnatural desire to lose weight past the point of being "thin" and take it to an unhealthy extreme.
Anorexia is a disorder in which people view themselves as being fat and overweight. Since anorexics starve themselves or drastically reduce the amount of food eaten, most of the time they will not take any grams of fat in their diet in a day.
They argue they are always hungry and unsatisfied
Anorexia is a dangerous mental disorder than manifests itself in the human body. Anorexics typically do not eat / starve themselves in order to lose weight, and have a fear of gaining weight or being "fat", often when they are very, very thin.
Being anorexic myself, i can answer this question. All anorexics treat themselves differently they punish themselves and starve there self. Some anerexic people may harm themselves.
They are different definitions of 'thin'. An anorexic person is thin in an extremely unhealthy way; they lose just as much muscle as fat. A normal 'thin' person just has very little body fat, but the usual amount of other tissue. This makes them far healthier. Anorexics don't completely starve themselves because they'd die. They consume enough calories to survive (usually 300-400 daily, maybe less, like an apple and diet Coke for example) but not enough to gain weight, so they lose it instead. Starving does work but is a terrible idea.
Some anorexics will try to take the focus off of their lack of eating by baking or cooking food for others, playing with their food, helping younger children eat, and so on.
Anorexics may bloat because they tend to live off of water and coffee, but they also might eat a candy bar or something else during the day to keep their energy up.
What a scary question. You didn't ask "do they" - which is just as scary as your misunderstanding of anorexia. Anorexics are merely people who starve themselves because they constantly believe they are imperfect or fat - normally due to low self esteem. Anorexics can eat ice cream. They can eat steak. Anorexics can eat whatever they want, the problem is the fact that they don't. Do not emulate an anorexic. Do not starve yourself to become skinnier - it will kill you.
