The heart pumps blood into the lungs where the blood is oxygenated. The blood is then returned to the heart and the newly oxygenated blood is circulated to the rest of the body.
The respiratory system performs a process known as gas exchange that releases carbon dioxide from the body and brings in oxygen. This occurs in the lungs and the circulatory system then transports the oxygen to tissues that used internal respiration to burn fuel in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) for energy, thus creating more carbon dioxide.
You breathe in oxygen into your lungs. The oxygen diffuses across the thin walls of the alveoli in the lungs and the thin walls of the blood vessels in the lungs into the blood stream. Here it attaches to the hemoglobin molecules inside red blood cells. The red blood cells are carried by the blood vessels to all parts of the body. The hemoglobin releases oxygen in the periphery, and picks up carbon dioxide (CO2). The CO2 attached to the hemoglobin molecules in the red blood cells is then transported to the lungs, where it diffuses across the walls into the alveoli, and is breathed out.
The respiratory system works with the circulatory system to carry oxygenated blood throughout the body.
The respiratory system and the circulatory (cardiovascular) system.
The respiratory and circulatory systems interact within the alveoli in a simultaneous manner. When you breathe in the oxygen in diffused in the alveoli which is then carried by the blood to the heart and pumped to the rest of the body.
the circulatory system and the respiratory system are the names
Diseases of the circulatory and respiratory systems begin to develop due to disorders of the heart and lungs.
CPR focus is respiratory and circulatory systems.
The circulatory and respiratory systems work together to get oxygen to cells. Oxygen transfers from the respiratory to the circulatory system at the capillaries surrounding the alveoli.
Working together, the respiratory and circulatory systems perform gas exchange from the blood to the lungs. This exchange occurs at the alveoli.
1. Respiratory system 2. Cardiovascular system
respiratory system Circulatory system
The respiratory system brings the oxygen inand out of the bodywhich the circulatory system takes theoxygen through.
Cardiothoracic surgeons work with both the respiratory and circulatory systems. They may also be called chest surgeons.
