Well when i went i had to get a permanent retainer first. Then they clipped each individual bracket off. And then they yank really hard. This caused my gums to bleed. A lot! Then they let you rinse. After that they scrape off any glue that is left on. Then they will sand the rest of the glue off with a thing that looks like a drill. They tell you before that it might hurt to raise your hand if you have to stop. To me it didnt hurt but the drill smelled of cigarettes and it was so gross i was gagging. When thats done you get xrays, take pictures and pic out a retainer if you need one. Ok Hope this helps a little.
