You can't get your period to stop once it starts - it's a specific function of your body that has to be completed, although there are methods to delay menstruation or prevent it from occuring it can't be stopped once started. Your period is an important part of your menstrual cycle, it can be stopped long-term by taking hormonal Birth Control - on hormonal birth control such as the pill you will still get a withdrawal bleed, but if you skip sugar pills or use options like Depo you can stop any sort of bleeding. This is known as menstrual suppression, there may be additional health risks using birth control this way.
