It depends on the type of Diabetes. Type 1 diabetes needs to be treated with insulin and occasionally other medication. Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by diet. Both affect your daily life, dependent of course upon the type of person you are.

If you have type 1 diabetes you will need to give yourself an insulin shot daily and depending on how bad your case is, take control and organize your pills.

With type 2, you must watch what you eat. If you're the kind of person who enjoys a lot of candy, then you will have to do some changing.

In both cases, you will have to check your blood sugar regularly to make sure you have your disease under control.

All in all, it's not that hard to deal with on a day to day basis.
