There is no cure for type 1 Diabetes. Your pancreas doesn't make any insulin which is needed to uptake glucose in our cells for energy. The only way it can be managed is to take insulin injections for the rest of ones life.

There is a clinical study taking place in the US and Canada. They take islet cells from a donor and put them in your liver. There are several different versions of this study taking place.

actually type 1 diabetes can not be treated by losing weight. it has to be controlled by counting the amount of carbohydrates consumed and taking multiple daily insulin injections. the insulin counteracts the sugar consumed in foods and turns it into energy. Type 1 diabetes is not caused by being overweight or unfit and can accure in the healthiest of subjects, the cause is not yet determined.

Yes type two diabetes can be treated i have type two have had it for ten year,s take two five hundred milligram,s of Glucophage in the morning and two pill,s in the evening.the jernick pill is called Metformin which is about fifty cent,s a pill verses about a dollar and twenty five cent,s for name brand.
