It can take months, even years, if you receive any notification at all. The blood collectors have your privacy rights to be concerned with and, given the choice between creating a document that can be used against them in court (if it goes to the wrong home, for example) and doing nothing, they will choose to do nothing. When they receive blood from a non-acceptable source (such as your name being on the list of unqualified donors), they simply dispose of it to avoid problems and embarrassment.
Yes. If a person with that type needs it. Any blood can be donated as long as it has all the necessary requirements
42 days
It must be used within 42 days, and any days after that make it unusable.
Yes. O is the universal donor. As long as the recipients RH Factor (positive or negative) is the same then O can donate to any blood type.
Very slim. After blood is donated, it goes through a long process that takes a couple days where it is tested for many different problems with the blood and is checked multiple times. the chance is less than 1/1000
It will depend on the purpose of the sale and the type of food. There are health code that has to be met. And in most cases, if it is legally allowable to sell the food for health reasons, as long as the money is being used for the charity it was donated to, it is normally not a problem. Otherwise it could be fraud.
In the UK a unit of blood is just under a pint and takes around ten minutes to draw. The blood service currently limits the time taken to donate blood to fifteen minutes - if you have not donated a full unit by this time they will end your donation at this point.
As long as it is for a legitimate reason you should have no problem having your child taken away or being considered unfit to care for a child. You should be ok.
No I believe that u have to be at least 18, like donating blood. But definitely no 12.
yes, as long as its a match
It is not bad to donate blood before surgery. But it is generelly unacceptable. Thats because when you donate blood, the volume of blood decreases in your body and after surgery it will take a long time for your body to recover than if you had not donated blood. Weakness and slow recovery after surgery are the most common side effects if blood has been done before surgery and is not advisable
I am saying no to that question mostly because you have tons of blood in your body and as long as you keep combing every night that won't be a problem.
