As of 10/15/2014, there have been 7 but not all were contracted here in the US. Only 2 were contracted here but the others were contracted in Africa and then either came here (Duncan) or were brought here for treatment.

Besides the cases that were brought to the US for treatment, the first was a man from Liberia who traveled by plane to Texas.

As of 10/14, around 3,000 US troops have been sent to set up field hospitals. They will not be involved in working with patients.
