Their body can't absorb lactose...
There are enzymes in your small intestine which break down lactose called lactase. Lactase breaks down lactose into galactose and glucose so your body can then absorb it.
Yes.
lactose intolerant* means that your body cannot intake things like milk and cheese.
As long as a person has the lactase enzyme, then yes. Otherwise, it gets passed through the body as a sugar that cannot be broken down (typically causing gastrointestinal distress if consumed in large quantities).
The presence of lactase in food products can benefit individuals with lactose intolerance by helping them digest lactose, the sugar found in dairy products. Lactase breaks down lactose into simpler sugars that are easier for the body to absorb, reducing symptoms like bloating, gas, and diarrhea that occur when lactose intolerant individuals consume dairy products.
all the nutrients of the milk are absorbed and the rest is excreted. For those with the lactose in tolerant thing... it is because it is difficult for their body's cannot absorb these nutrients due to various reasons. if they take milk, it will cause a lot of gastric and many related problems. :)
If you're lactose intolerant (you're body cant use the lactose in dairy) it won't be good for you. Often lactose intolerant people who ingest dairy products suffer from anything from gaseous pains to near allergic-reactions.Otherwise, just make sure the dairy is pasteurized.
The person would be unable to fully digest dairy products. Many people are lactose intolerant, meaning that they have difficulty digesting food that contains large amounts of lactose. This occurs because a person's body does not produce enough lactase enzyme, which is the enzyme needed to quickly breakdown lactose.
You cannot be h20 intolerant. h20 intolerant means that your body wouldn't break down the h20 particles when digesting. Just like lactose intolerant, when someone cannot break down the lactose particles. You can't be h20 intolerant because your body is 2/3 water. If you were such, you wouldn't be alive.
If you are lactose intolerant, you are lacking the enzyme lactase. Lactase is responsible for breaking down lactose, the sugar found in milk and dairy products, into simpler sugars that can be easily absorbed by the body.
Lactose intolerant people have lactase deficiency, which is an enzyme, so they should reduce the consumption of lactose containing food products like milk etc., however they can take foods prepared from milk like curd as lactose is converted to lactic acid, paneer cheese etc
Lactose intolerance is the basic condition of most of the human race. Only on Europe and some parts of Africa were food supplies so limited that this with the mutation that allowed them to consume milk proved to be beneficial and those with it didn't starve to death (or at least had better breeding success)So the answer is that those that were lactose intolerant come from a population that never had codevelop the ability or those who by breeding picked up the "normal" lactose intolerant gene structure from their varied ancestors.
Firstly, I think you phrased this question wrong because lactose is a substrate. It is the job of lactase (and enzyme) to break down lactose. Some people are lactose intolerant because their bodies do not have enough lactase enzymes to break down lactose.
