it probably means that you are on birth control, and youre normal. that is not something to be worried about.

Brown discharge usually indicates "old" blood. If you are having a miscarriage the blood will be bright red and flowing. At four weeks pregnant an ultrasound will not show a heartbeat. So at that stage you would be unable to judge the viability of the pregnancy. The brown discharge is probably the baby attaching itself to the the uterine wall - some small bleeding can occur then.
