Medics say "but in a non-diabetic, insulin would reduce the hyperglycemia". Hum. But inflammation (and the pain that goes with it) also causes insulin-resistance. The insulin can't work properly because of the inflammation. Seems to me there's insufficient research in this area (and Lord knows I've looked).
