I reckon it triggered mine. I drank it a lot last year and had many gouts episodes. Stopped drinking it for 6 months and with medication had few and milder bouts. I drank a bottle of V8 last week and now I have had gout of medium intensity for four days and getting worse. Coincidence perhaps, but I won't be drinking it again.
