Yes you can. Depending how far on you are, how serious it is. It may be an early sign of a possible miscarriage early in pregnancy. Towards the end it may be a sign that you are going into labour.

∙ 17y agoMy best friend and her mother both had their period for the entire pregnancy. Yes you can still have cramping and spotting. I found that during strenuous work or a stressful day, during my pregnancies, that spotting occurred. Also, you could be cramping because the uterus is growing as the baby grows.

Well last year of 2/24/07 I found out I was pregnant and I had a period before .
Why does withdrawal bleeding mean that a women can still be pregnant?
It doesn't mean that. A woman who can be pregnant can be pregnant. A woman can have withdrawal bleeding for unrelated reasons. It's almost like asking why having blue eyes means you can still have brown hair.

this could be signs of an early m/c or it could be normal. i sugguest calling your doctor & going for a check-up. sometimes m/c can be avoided if you limit your activities & sometimes it just means there was something wrong with the egg & sperm when they joined. good luck. Month and a half? Very common to have miscarriages. Ususally SEVERE cramping though... then HEAVY bleeding. My 90% guess is a miscarriage, though.

No. With my first child I had not bleeding just cramping. So with this one I still have no bleeding just cramping.. so i will be waiting for another 2wks to test
