i don't know about career when youre 14 but there are 5 specialist music schools in England which give singing lessons of a very high standard. you have to organise an audition and often you can gain very good scholarships practically eradicating your fees depending on your financial situation...which would be a big step towards a musical career. i go to a specialist music school and its great because you meet more people who you can relate to and you realise who you are up against if you know what i mean. I go to Wells Cathedral School which is the only one which teaches academic subjects as well as music. Don't just concentrate on music and not try with academic subjects, it's important to keep you're options open. after all you're only 14 ;) hope this has helped... You are better off to wait to 'come out' in public to sing when you are 17 or older. The voice up until that age can change. Michael Jackson was performing at a very young age, but he had a high pitched voice and didn't have to alter it too much. There is no reason you can't be a singer, but practice (with a teacher) and prepare yourself first.
