1/1/09 I had a headache in the back of my head that wouldn't go away and morbid thoughts (death, etc.) I had been on a crash diet. I bought a VITAMIN B COMPLEX at the drugstore. Within 3 days I was feeling great again. Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Finally GOD showed me what was wrong with me, really. Tension-type headaches frequently manifest at the back/base of the head and in the neck. These are characterized by the sensation of dull but constant, non-throbbing pressure. They can be caused by general stress/anxiety, irregular eating habits, overuse of tobacco or alcohol, sleep deprivation, or other factors. Some types of migraines also manifest at the back of the head. These differ from tension headaches in that the pain is more severe and prolonged, and tends to be made worse by routine physical activity (e.g., the pain sharpens notably during or after physical exertion).
Most of these headaches can be treated effectively with over-the-counter pain medication; ibuprofen is particularly recommended for tension-type headaches. But if your headache persists for more than a few days, you should seek medical attention, because chronic headaches in this area could be the result of a potentially dangerous underlying condition, not to mention that they can impair your ability to function normally.
Your body was numb for a second
The Occipital lobe is in the brain in the back of your head. Basically a "sub-occipital pain" would be a pain originating or being experienced underneath (sub) the lobe. (which is at the back of your head.)
yes you do

No one can really tell unless you go to the doctor. Answer 2: Did someone hit you in the back of the head?
If you are feeling unwell you need to go and see a qualified medical practitioner (a Doctor).
A person feels headache pain when specialized nerve endings known as nociceptors are stimulated by pressure on or injury to any of the pain-sensitive structures of the head.
I recently studied this.. Of the top of my head, I think it is pressure and pain receptors!?
Symptoms include neck pain/stiffness, shoulder pain, lower back pain, headaches in the back of the head, pain, and/or tingling in the hand or arm, dizziness, ringing in the ears, blurred vision.
Yes
== While some people do report a feeling of pressure in the eye (usually on one-side, the same side their head pain is on), it is not the most notable feature of the migraine, which is intense pain of a throbbing or stabbing quality, also usually on one side of the head. Head pain which is pressure, tightness, or a dull ache is more commonly associated with tension headache. Cluster Headaches, which are short cyclical headaches with pain so intense that they have been labelled "suicide headaches," also include a feeling of eye pressure, along with the piercing pain itself being centered around they eye. If you are feeling eye pressure with intense repeated headaches and have not been formally diagnosed, please do. The doctor will need to look at your eyes to see if there is increased pressure.
