It's not something to panic over, but you should do what you can to bring the fever down.

Use fever reducers, such as acetaminofen (tylenol) and ibuprofen (advil), but do not alternate fever reducers as this is unnecessary and may risk overdose. Avoid aspirin due to risk of Reye's syndrome.

Take a cool shower or bath for about 20 minutes, drink lots of cool fluids, and use a cool compress on the forehead (not cold) to help bring the body temperature down.

If the temp won't go down, or rises again rapidly, call a health care professional for advice.

If your temp reaches 105, you should get to a doctor.
