chlamydia is the only std i can think of that causes pelvic inflammatory, as over time the disease leaves it's tell tale mark by scarring your pelvic area.

But std's aren't the only thing that can cause inflammatory, discomfort or potential diseases in the pelvic area, tampons have been known to do this too. although it's very rare.
