Like veins of the blood vascular system, the lymphatic collecting vessels have three tunics and are equipped with valves
Carry lymph. Yea varily.
Lymphatic vessels need a proper method of transport so they can reach their destination. They are not pumped, but pushed along by skeletal muscle contractions, and valves are in place to prevent fluid from flowing backward. They resemble veins, because the vessels need to be small enough to fit within the body along with the other arteries and veins, which are small enough to be in proximity.
Lymph vessels,lymph nodes,spleen,
Lymph is moved through the lymph vessels by surrounding muscles contracting and relaxing, which creates pressure changes that help propel the lymph forward. Additionally, one-way valves within the lymph vessels prevent the backflow of lymph, helping to maintain the flow.
The contraction of certain muscles squeezes the lymph vessels, pumping lymph throughout the system
tiny vessels
The lymph nodes are the only lymphatic organ with afferent vessels. Afferent vessels carry lymph fluid into the lymph nodes, where it is filtered and processed before being returned to circulation through efferent vessels.
A lymph vessel. They are similar in function to blood vessels. However the lymph is moved along the vessel by muscle contractions rather than by the heart pumping.
Skeletal muscles squeeze the lymph through lymph vessels. Valves in the vessels prevent backflow
lymph nodes
Lymph travels in lymph vessels. There are varying sizes of lymph vessel, just like with blood vessels. The vessels generally are found just below the skin or in the deeper levels of the skin.
lymph capillary Lymph fluid is filtered in lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are along lymph vessels which that run along blood vessels. Lymph vessels draw in interstitial fluid (fluid between cells) and it them becomes lymph fluid. Lymph nodules are in connective tissue in place of high traffic and does not function as a filter because it's not along a lymph vessel.
Lymph nodes have efferent lymphatic vessels that drain lymph away from the node. These vessels carry filtered lymph containing immune cells and waste products back into the bloodstream.
