many people don't even mention it, not because they don't care but because they understand - that's how my friends are at least. If they mention it say it was an accident or you don't know what it is, and woke up with it, depending on it
Personally i say that i was doing gardening and i caught my arm on some thornes or you could say it was a cat or dog if you have a pet or you could just make sure you hide your marks. But remember don't cut yourself too deep. xx
Just let me tell you from experience, please don'tdo it.Anyway, the side effects of self harm are varied compared to what kind of self harm you are partaking in.Generally side effects can be bruises/cuts which can be hard to hide.In the long run deep cuts leave scars which are sometimes hard to hide.Self harm also ruins your body, therefore making you less confident. For example even going to a beach could get ruined because you don't generally want people to see your scars/cuts/bruises.
If someone ask about your scares just tell them you got them from falling. Or you could also tell them the truth.
Approximately 1 in 5 individuals will engage in self-harm during their lifetime, according to some studies. This behavior is more common in adolescents and young adults, but it can affect people of all ages. It is important to seek help from a mental health professional if you or someone you know is engaging in self-harm.
It really depends on the person. Sometimes, you cannot even tell if someone self harms. Many people fake a smile and go on with life even though they harm themselves. Some warning signs are they don't want to take off their jacket [Absolute refusal] or what ever may be covering they scars, or they have poor excuses for them.
She would, most probably tell your parents and possibly your GP/Authorities. Its their job.
It depends on whether you trust the wholly as a friend or not if you don't then stay with your story but if you do then explain that at that certain point in your life things werent brilliant and that was how you dealt with it they shouldn't judge you for it. I used too but everyone in my life knew what had happened so i never had to cover it up but the fact your over it now and are getting on with your life is proof enough the fantastically brave person you are. If you can do that then talking to your friend should be a dodle
Why do u have ugly scars??
Yes, it is important to tell your therapist about self-harm so they can provide you with the support and resources you need to address this issue and improve your mental health. Your therapist will approach this information with understanding and confidentiality.
suicide is when you don't want to live anymore.but self harm is inflicting damage and pain and injury on yourself.its a way of releasing the pain and sadness your too afraid to tell anyone.if your depressed you self harm.there are many ways to self harm.you can cut yourself with things like razors, knives, protractors and scissors or you can purposely burn yourself or scratch yourself purposely. even the littlest things can make you self harm and that's because its addictive. i should know,i cut myself and have 18 scars and cuts i told my best friend about it but its so addictive i am even doing it when I'm bored and even if I'm happy but by myself.i haven't told anyone else about it but am trying to stop. suicide you die! but self harm can last for years and years and is hardly ever suspected so goes easily unnoticed so its easier to do !
stop caring about what people tell you and what people think and do what YOU want to do.

well to some people it is and others its not, peronally i dont think its weirdAnswerNeither do I. In some cultures scarificatiion is a ritual and a rite of passage. Tattoos and piercings would be considered weird if only a few people wanted them. I have scars from fights, accidents, and more recently a surgery, and I want to keep them. And lastly, why would you make the scars yourself if you didn't want to keep them? AnswerSome people would probably think that it was weird, but I don't. My scars don't bother me, as they are a way to remind yourself and to inspire you not to do it again and to think of positives. They can remind you of how you used to be and stop you from doing it again. xx Answeri want to keep mine. some people just like to tell the tale. its not weird at all! Wear your scars with pride. they are reminders of what you have been through.Answerit helps me feel better just looking at my scars, i don't know why but i kind of enjoy them. i belive its fine, they symbalize who you are.
