Fear has no appearance although there are many symptoms for various Phobia's.
E.G. sweating, anger, crying, feinting ect.
However, if you are looking to an answer to perhaps a writing skill you were required to do for writing class or poetry classes, here are some ideas: phantoms, or darkness.
Basically think about what makes you scared, and embody that fear. For example, if you're scared of clowns, think of what it is about them that frightens you. Is it their grotesque faces? Then perhaps you could say fear looks distorted faces. I pretty much slightly exaggerated that fear to put it into words.

For example you have a fear of roller coasters and are thinking thought like oh my god what if it breaks down? and a bunch of negative thoughts your influencing fear into yourself, or the way someone describes it. So logically the more positively you look at things the less fear you have.
