a small red patch on your skin that's in the shape of a ring
Ringworm is called ringworm because the infection often causes red, circular rashes on the skin that look like rings.
Under a microscope, a ringworm fungus appears as a thin, thread-like structure with a circular shape. It may have a spiky or rough surface, resembling a worm or a ring, hence the name "ringworm."
It doesn't unless you contracted ringworm from the scratch.
I do know the limitations to ringworm on the scalp, but i don't feel like telling you because I don't like you or your mum.
No, ringworm does not make you sick. Ringworm only gives you itchy 'ring-like' bumps, but they do not make you sick. You are otherwise completely normal.
Could be ringworm, a fungal infection in which the 'sores' are a rash in the form of a circle, red inside, and whitish-grey around the ring. Some people have said that ringworm sores look like cigarette burns.
Fungus and Mushrooms are related. Fairy Rings are those ring formations of mushrooms you'll see on lawns. Ringworm (actually a fungus, not a worm at all) is pretty similar in it's formation. You could say yes, they are similar.. except, when you look at ringworm under a microscope, they look oval shaped, not at all like mushrooms. on a side note, black mold (the toxic crap) looks like tiny mushrooms with lonnnng stems :)
See a doctor. You'll almost certainly need to see one for the ringworm anyway, and they can have a look at the wart at the same time.
lol. a black ring? :D
Ringworm is a common fungal infection that affects the skin, scalp, or nails. Despite its name, it is not caused by a worm but rather by various types of fungi. It is characterized by a red, circular rash that may be itchy or scaly.
It really depends... Is it a circular patch, or does it look like a ring? If it looks like a ring, go to the doctor, it's probably ringworm (a fungal infection).
Mometasone is a topical corticosteroid primarily used to reduce inflammation and treat conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It is not effective against fungal infections such as ringworm, which are caused by dermatophytes. For ringworm, antifungal treatments like clotrimazole or terbinafine are recommended. Using mometasone on ringworm may worsen the infection by suppressing the immune response.
