It can mean that you have TMJ Syndrome which is a disorder of the Temporomandibular Joint, the hinge joints on each side of your jaws. It mostly hurts right at the joint, but it can also shoot pain in the jaw bone and up into to your ear, with headaches and even neck pain. Sometimes the cause is that your bite is not in the right place. See your local doctor or dentist and ask them if this could be a possible issue for you.

More urgently, however, it can be a common sign of ear infections, tooth infections or abscesses. It would be best to have an exam and proper diagnosis by your health care professional.

I have the same problem i subconciously clench my jaw especially when i sleep its bad nothing will happen except for it being sore so just work on not clenching your teeth when your not talking or when your concentrateing

I have this kind of pain,and its due to the nerve, it can be reduced by listening to some Pink Noise for about an hour or 2 every day or smoking some pot( sounds funny but its tru, pot is good for nervous system), I hope ur pain is gonna leave for good
