It is called scoliosis or spineafobia.
It can be be bad enough that you need surgery, or as slight as doctors dont even ask for follow ups
No, a normal human spine has four natural curves: the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral curves. These curves help to absorb shock, maintain balance, and support the body's weight. The cervical and lumbar regions are concave (lordotic curves), while the thoracic and sacral regions are convex (kyphotic curves). Together, these curves contribute to the overall flexibility and stability of the spine.
there is one curve, son.
one spine
If you look at the shape of a dog's body, laying on his back (spine) would be an unstable condition, and he'd roll to the side one way or the other. Dogs do not lie on their spine because it hurts. :) There are dogs that lay right on their backs, my dog does it.(Jack Russell)
Scoliosis is a 3 dimensional spine deformity where individual vertebral bodies are rotated in addition to side to side curve. S shaped scoliosis is commonly used term when there are two 'C' shaped side to side curves in the spine connected to each other. Usually one of the curves is 'structural' or primary curve and the other one 'compensatory' or secondary curve though both can be structural. The compensatory curve is formed so as to keep the head in center over the pelvis by compensating the curvature of primary curve. 'S' shape can be observed clinically looking from the back but is more obvious on spine Xray. The terminology fairly prominent is not a correct clinical description but broadly refers to the rotational element of the vertebral body which leads to rotation of the rib cage giving rib hump observed from the back as ribs are attached to vertebrae in chest (thoracic) region. 'Fairly prominent' refers to this prominence of rib hump.
A river curves back and forth because it becomes wider then the river erodes land on one side and deposits sediments along the other side this causes the river to develop curves P.S. i'm 9!
probably yes scoliosis does not always result in uneven shoulders an easy way to tell is to band over and get someone to look at your back if your back is not flat, and one side if higher than the other, you have a curved spine its best to get a doctor to check it out
Dyspareunia is the medical term for Painful Intercourse.
Scoliosis A condition of lateral curvature of the spine, which may have just one curve or primary and secondary compensatory curves and be fixed with a brace, or with a more severe case, spinal instrumentation surgery to keep your spine from twisting more.
Yes, a spine injury can cause numbness on one side of the body. This typically occurs when the injury affects the spinal cord or the nerves that branch off from it, leading to disrupted signals to the brain. Depending on the location and severity of the injury, numbness may manifest in specific areas corresponding to the affected nerves. It's important to seek medical evaluation for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer, but a physical therapist told me this is true of me. The muscles on the right side of my spine are more developed. I have a mild (approx. 12 degree Cobb angle) dextroscoliosis (bends to the right like a backwards C) of the cervical spine and levoscoliosis (bends to the left like a C) of the superior thoracic spine. One spine/pain MD told me the two might be related.
An asymmetrical contraction of the erector spinae muscles can result in lateral flexion of the spine, where the spine bends to one side.
