HIV stands for Human Immuno-deficiency Virus. It is probably a mutated monkey disease from Africa according to the latest theories. AIDS (Auto-Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is probably caused by contracting the HIV infection, but with appropriate early treatment HIV does not always cause the symptoms of AIDS. People with the HIV infection are always contagious - you can catch it from them unless you use proper precautions when you are exposed to their body fluids. You won't catch it by hugging or being in the same room with someone who has HIV, or AIDS. If you are having any kind of sex or intimate contact with someone with HIV or AIDS, talk to your doctor or clinic about how to be as safe as possible.
HIV does not cause bacterial infections.
It is a Virus, infact the V in HIV stands for Virus
No cure. It's a viral disease, not bacterial, so once you have it, you have it for the rest of your life.
There are many diseases that are not caused by bacteria. Anything that is caused by a virus (viral meningitis or HIV, for example) is not going to be caused by a bacterial infection. Also, genetic disorders can be caused by over or underexpression of proteins in the body. These are not bacterial related.
because HIV is a virus and antibiotics treat bacterial infections.
HIV is a viral disease. Obviously it's not a bacterial, although it may seem that way since people share their bodily fluid with each other. Glad to help. -Shaniya PS you can friend me on Facebook.com, my name on it is Shaniya Rosarion. Thank you. <3333
HIV is a viral infection.
Only bacterial infections (STIs) can be treated with antibiotics (these STIs are Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and Trich). The STIs that can't be treated with antibiotics, which are caused by a virus, are Herpes, HPV, and HIV.Genital WartsHerpesAIDS(all the Viral ones)Viral STDs cannot be effectively treated with antibiotics. The four viral STDs are Hepatitis, HPV, HIV and Herpes.Only bacterial STDs can be treated with antibiotics. All viral STDs are untreatable by antibiotics. They include (but are not limited to): herpes, hepatitis, HPV (human papilloma virus, known to cause cancer and genital warts) and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus, known to cause AIDS).Viral diseases are sometimes treatable with antiviral drugs. HIV is an example: a programme of drugs called post-exposure prophylaxis can prevent infection if the person starts within 72 hours of coming into contact with HIV. Once someone is infected, HIV can never be removed, however a programme of drugs can stop the person getting AIDS.Other STDs like crabs and scabies can be treated but not with antibiotics.
No; it occurs from a viral infection (HIV).
Antibiotics can only cure bacterial pneumonia, not viral.
fluid accumulation in the lungs due to infection. can be bacterial, viral, or fungal in origin.
A viral load of 90,000 or higher is fairly high, however, HIV does not cause any symptoms of its own. HIV lowers the immune response, causing you to be more susceptible to other diseases.
