When you shave the hair tends to be coarse and thick and does not get to the root of the hair which causes the hair to grow back faster and in most cases, the hair will start to grow back the next day. which results in becoming prone to ingrown hairs and a lot more irritation and itchiness in the area you are shaving.

When you wax after the first wax, hair grows back differently compared to shaving the hair is lighter and thinner in appearance and feel.

In some cases, you tend to grow back less hair and the results last for up to 3-4 weeks. The area you wax will leave you with a smooth and clean feel and touch.

If you are a wax virgin (first time) it will hurt a little as you are pulling the hair out of the root opposed to shaving a layer of hair follicles. Hence why shaving does not hurt. The first wax may not be super clean, this is due to previous years of shaving. May take 2 -3 waxes consistently to see full results. The area might feel sore and tender (which is normal) and sometimes spotting may occur, this is just because of the hair being removed. Overall, waxing is easier, quicker and more approved for hygiene purpose. :)
